A word from Pastor Gus…


Wow!  V.B.S. is here, beginning July 14th and then the following Wednesdays through the dates of 21st, 28th, and then on August 4th and ending on the Wednesday of the 11th.

V.B.S. meals will be served for the kids at 5:00 pm.  V.B.S. adults will eat at 5:30 pm.  Both the kids and adult V.B. S. programs will end at 7:30 pm.

This V.B.S. is arranged differently than our previous ones.  Our purpose is twofold; (1) to envolve our adults in the V.B.S. program studies offered each Wednesday and (2)  to keep our kids coming on Wednesday nights beyond vacation Bible school.

Your attendance and participation is very critical to the overall appearance of the interest that we have as a church in young children and adults.  In other words, if you don’t show up and support V.B.S., it could be seen as a lot of “hot air” with no “fire”.  I want the parents and the kids to know that Lighthouse Baptist Church cares about them.  What better way to show it than by meeting them and extending our love?  But it’s hard to extend our love if we don’t show up.

Pray, pray, pray for our success in reaching others for Christ!
